A note of caution has come for Oluwatobi Amusan, the new world record holder in the 100-meter hurdle at the ongoing World Athletic Championship in Oregon, USA.
As Nigerians all over the world keep celebrating Amusan for winning the gold medal and a whopping sum of $100,000, the last may not have been heard about what next may follow.
Due to Tobi's stellar performance, Dr. Yussuf Datti Baba Ahmed has warned the new world record holder to be careful and mindful of the envious western world at this period who may want to disrupt her successful career by subjecting her to all forms of drug testing due to her unbelievable attainment which shocked the world.
Datti Baba Ahmed, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in forthcoming Nigeria's 2023 General Elections says on his tweeter handle monitored on Tuesday:
"Tobi Amusan should be careful even with the water they will give her in the next coming days, she mustn’t even take any medication, not even a pain relief because the way she shocked the western world, they are yet to digest such success and drug testing is coming soon".
It would be recalled that Tobi Amusan emerged winner in the women's 100-meter race with a record time of 12.12 seconds, beating the initial, Kendra Harrison's 2016 record of 12.20 by 0.8 of a second.
She subsequently proceeded to win a gold medal in the finals with a finishing time of 12.06 seconds.
